30-Day Nurse Residency
Program
(most popular program, however participant has only 30 days to complete all content)
The 30-Day Online Residency Program gives nurses the opportunity to learn pertinent subject matter for long term care. The course is led by an experienced nurse, whereas students follow along and have the opportunity to mingle and ask questions pertaining to the lesson. After each subject a quiz is completed by the learner to show an understanding and competence. There are approximately 28 subjects within the 30-day program and the student is allowed approximately 6 weeks to complete the program. After completion a certificate of completion is awarded, as well as transcript that shows the completed course and passing. The first five days of the program is live online and requires the participant to be available for approximately 8 hours Monday through Friday, then the group meets weekly for the next 3 weeks. Completion of the quizzes and special exercises are done independently and during the participants' own time.

The perks of the online nurse residency is relevant subject matter being taught, experienced teachers presenting, and the nurses have the opportunity to meet other nurses in the program from all over the country. This method of training frees the facility from assigning an in-house nurse to be a preceptor which has shown to not be as effective due to limited time by the preceptor to show specifics to the trainee.
A win-win all around!!

90-Day Nurse Residency Program
(most recommended course as the participant works at their own pace; however, its spread over 90 days with no ongoing instructor guidance creating an opportunity for participant to become complacent)

This pathway consists of all the elements of the 30-day program with 7 additional subjects. Instead of 6 weeks to complete, there is 90 days to complete the program and its requirements. By choosing this path the participants can better pace themselves considering their busy work-world. There is a mentor assigned to each participant in the event the learner has a question or requires more guidance on any subject matter. A quiz is required after each subject indicating the participant is competent in the subject content. After completing all requirements of the program a certificate of completion is granted to the participant and a transcript that shows all topics taught and a passing quiz. The transcripts may be used to satisfy annual education for an organization.

Both the 30 and 90 day path gives the participants opportunities to participate in real-life like case studies and exercises for a better understanding of real situations that may arise in long term care.

The 5-Day Accelerated Course Program
This program path consists only of the teaching content that is presented in the five days of live training. The participant does not have online access to complete quizzes, or case study interactions with other peers and the instructors. After the first five days of the program and teachings the participant will have completed their pathway, which only consists of the 28 subjects taught. There is no mentor nor the ability to network after completion or submit questions to the instructors. A certificate of completion issued, however the participant in this program path does not receive a transcript showing subjects and content discussed.
